The Word on the Street is that Daniel West will not return to the University of Tennessee basketball team after Coach Bruce Pearl announced he didn't have a scholarship for next season. Look for West to soon transfer to another college...stay tune for more info.

The Word on the Street is that former Flint Southwestern Basketball player Anthony Crater is leaving Ohio State after playing in the first 10 games of his freshman season.  Crater is expected to transfer to the University of South Florida.

The Word on the Street is that University of Tennesse coach Bruce Pearl will announce that former Saginaw High point guard Daniel West has been determined academically ineligible to play for Tennessee this season.

The Word on the Street is that Saginaw High's Mike Green is being recruited by several Big10 colleges. What may shock some people is that Michigan State, Michigan and Iowa want Mike Green to be a part of their Football programs. The Word on the Street is that former St John's University and Saginaw High standout Larry Wright will take his game to Oakland University. Wright will have to sit out the 2008-09 season, but he will have two years of eligibility remaining to play for the Grizzlies.

The Word on the Street is that 2 more Saginaw Arthur Hill Lumberjacks have signed National Letter of Intents. Violet Lindsay will continue her playing career with Delta Community College and Tyrie Wooten will take his game to Iowa Western Community College.

The Word on the Street is that Latreze Mushatt from Saginaw Arthur Hill will soon announce his future college plans and sources state he is considering Indiana, Georgia Tech and Missouri-Kansas City...stay tune for more info.

The Word on the Street is that three players from this season’s Buena Vista Basketball team will play JUCO ball next year.  Demarcus McMormick and Jemond Patrick are heading to Delta College and Torian Oglesby will head to Flint to play for the 2-time National Champs the Mott Bears...stay tune for more info.

The Word on the Street is that Saginaw High will be allowed to continue to play basketball in Class-A for at least the next two years.

The Word on the Street is that the MHSAA has reclassified Saginaw High School from Class-A to Class-B for the 2008-2009 school year.  According to the MHSSA website to be classified in Class-A your school enrollment must be greater

than 1017 students. Saginaw High's enrollment fell to 984.

The Word on the Street is that Saginaw High's Daniel West is getting a lot of recruiting attention from Kentucky and St. John's.

The Word on the Street is that former Arizona Wildcat Basketball player Lavel Lucas-Perry will announce that he will transfer to the University of Michigan.  He was being recruited by Wake Forest, Northwestern, Penn State, Boston College, Harvard and Wisconsin.

The Word on the Street is that Saginaw High's Daniel West will not keep his verbal commitment to Bradley University and is back on the recruiting market.
